CLOSING RECEPTION: SATURDAY, AUGUST 1, 6-9PM

PHOTOGRAPHY BY:
NADINE ROVNER
MARK HAVENS
MARTIN BUDAY

Pivotal features the works of photographers, NADINE ROVNER, MARK HAVENS, and MARTIN BUDAY, showcasing their unique visions of American life. These moments capture their subjects combining carefully dictated details with the natural essence of their environments. Pivotal takes the viewer through these moments asking what's next or what came before. The artists each capture an image frozen in time but fleeting, like a momentary view as you drive by, begging the viewer to take a closer look.

Judge this book by its cove

Through Gallery Stock my image was selected for the cover of Alice Munro's Rien que la vie.  Winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Literature, Munro's collection of short stories is the French version of her novel Dear Life.  The New York Times writes, Munro "creates tales that have the scope and amplitude of novels: whole lives are condensed into a handful of pages, the progress of love is charted over the years as passion gives way to restlessness or deeper commitment or something more ambiguous".  I love this description.  It got me, I can't wait to read this novel!
